For travellers who want winter Spiti with real snow driving. Small 4x4 vehicles take you over ice and snow to the villages that normal vehicles cannot reach, with a long stay in Kaza so the cold, the silence and the stars are the main attraction.

Meet the group, check vehicles and gear, and go through the winter briefing. Early night before a long road day.
Through Narkanda and Rampur into Kinnaur, then up the Baspa Valley. Expect snow and slow stretches above Narkanda.
A morning visit to Chitkul in the snow, then on to Kalpa and the Kinner Kailash range.
Past Khab and Nako, with a stop at the frozen Nako lake, then down to Tabo's ancient monastery complex.
Visit Dhankar monastery on its cliff and continue to Kaza. Check in and rest at 12,500 ft.
The big 4x4 day: up to Langza with its Buddha statue, Hikkim's post office and Komic near 15,000 ft, if the road is open. Night sky session after dinner.
Key Monastery and Kibber in the morning. If conditions allow, drive into Pin Valley; otherwise enjoy a slow day around Kaza.
Early departure on the Kinnaur road, with the Sutlej gorge in winter light.
The final road day back along the Sutlej. The trip ends in Shimla in the evening.
