Overview

Spiti in winter is a different country: white slopes, blue skies, ice on the river and almost no other travellers. This trip follows the Kinnaur road, the only way in during the snow season, and gives you three full nights in Kaza to see the valley at its quietest.

  • Kinner Kailash views from Kalpa and the Baspa Valley at Sangla
  • The Sutlej-Spiti confluence at Khab and a frozen lake at Nako
  • Tabo, Dhankar and Key monasteries without the summer crowds
  • Three nights in Kaza with time for Langza, Hikkim and Komic if roads allow
  • Clear, dark winter skies for stargazing
